PSI / LRD Physical Test 2026 Important updates – Gujarat Police Recruitment 2025-26: Good news for thousands of youth preparing for government jobs in the state. Gujarat Police Recruitment Board has announced the dates of physical examination for the posts of Police Sub Inspector (PSI) and Lokrakshak (LRD) cadre under Class-3 cadre in the police department. 21 January for male candidates. The examination will be held from 21 January to 6 March for female and ex-servicemen candidates. Recruitment process has been conducted for 858 posts of PSI, 12,733 posts of LRD.

Gujarat Police Recruitment Board – PSI / LRD Physical Test 2026 Important updates

(1) 858 posts of P.S.E. Cadre and 12733 posts of Lokrakshak Cadre have been found, recruitment process has been conducted for the recruitment of a total of 13591 posts under advertisement number: GPRB/202526/1.

(2) More than 10 lakh candidates have registered their candidature under this advertisement. These candidates have been called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) at the examination centers (grounds) of 15 (fifteen) cities/districts/SRP groups/training centers of the state from 21.01.2026.

(3) Physical test has been conducted for male candidates at 11 (eleven) grounds from 21.01.2026 to 13.03.2026 and for female candidates and ex-servicemen candidates at 4 (four) grounds from 21.01.2026 to 06.03.2026.

(4) An officer of the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police / Superintendent of Police has been appointed as the in-charge of each ground and more than 90 police staff have been appointed to assist them. In addition, a DIGP/IGP level officer has been appointed as the supervision officer of each ground.

(5) Biometric registration of all candidates appearing in the physical test will be done.

(6) Modern technology will be used during the running test.

(7) All the process of the physical test will be done under the surveillance of CCTV cameras.

(8) In the physical test, the height/chest measurement of male candidates and the height measurement of female candidates will be done by the officers/staff of the Health Department.

(9) A central control room of the Recruitment Board has been made operational at Gandhinagar for monitoring all the grounds.

(10) Male candidates shall have to complete 5000 meters race in 25 minutes, female candidates shall have to complete 1600 meters race in 9 minutes 30 seconds and Ex-Servicemen candidates shall have to complete 2400 meters race in 12 minutes 30 seconds.

(11) The height of a male candidate belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) should be 162 cm. and that of a male candidate other than Scheduled Tribes (ST) should be 165 cm.

(12) The height of a female candidate belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) should be 150 cm. and that of a female candidate other than Scheduled Tribes (ST) should be 155 cm.

(13) The chest measurement of all male candidates should be at least 79 cm. to 84 cm. That is, the chest expansion should be at least 5 cm.

(14) The educational qualification for recruitment to P.S.E. Cadre is Graduation or its equivalent and for recruitment to Lokrakshak Cadre, the educational qualification is Standard-12 or its equivalent.
