The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET-UG exam for admission to medical and dental courses on Sunday. More than 23 lakh students from all over the country and more than 85 thousand students from the state will appear for the exam. The exam has been organized in 552 cities across the country and 14 cities abroad.
The exam will start from 2 pm, students will not be allowed to enter the exam centers after 1.30 pm. It is learned that no center has been allotted to any private institution for the exam to be taken this time. Exam centers have been decided only in government and granted institutions.
NEET-UG exam today – More than 85 thousand students from the state will appear
The National Testing Agency will conduct the NEET-UG exam for admission to medical courses on Sunday. The process of filling the online form for this exam was conducted from February 7 to March 7. After that, the process including verification of the form and selection of cities was carried out. This time, about 23 lakh students registered for the NEET exam from all over the country. In which more than 85 thousand students have registered from the state. NTA has also issued admit cards to all the students on May 1 regarding the exam. Now the NEET-UG exam will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. Preparations will be made to declare the results as soon as possible after the exam is completed. In which the results are likely to be declared on June 14.
Students appearing for the exam will have to bring their photo ID along with the admit card. As the exam is to start at 2 pm, students have been urged to reach the exam center early. Students have been instructed to reach the center early so that they do not miss the exam due to last-minute problems including traffic. When the exam is to start at 2 pm, the center is opened 3 hours before the start of the exam. That is, the exam centers will be opened at 11 am. So that students will be able to enter the exam centers after that. No student will be allowed to enter the examination center after half an hour before the start of the examination i.e. after 1.30 pm.
NEET exam to be conducted in 31 cities of the state
NEET UG exam has been planned to be conducted in 31 cities of Gujarat. More than 85 thousand students of the state will appear for this exam. For this exam, Amreli, Banaskantha, Bharuch, Botad, Dahod, Himmatnagar, Jamganar, Junagadh, Kadi, Kheda, Balasinor, Mehsana, Modasa, Narmada, Navsari, Porbandar, Surendranagar, Veraval, Vyara, Ahmedabad, Anand, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar, Godhra, Patan, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, Valsad-Vapi, Gandhidham, Bhuj cities have been decided.
What will be the structure of the NEET-UG exam?
180 questions will be asked in the NEET-UG exam and 180 minutes will be given to write them. Thus, one minute will be given to write a question. MCQ type questions will be asked in the question paper. In which 45 questions of 180 marks in Physics, 45 questions of 180 marks in Chemistry and 90 questions of 360 marks in Biology will be asked, making a total of 180 questions of 720 marks. Students will be given 4 marks for writing the correct answer. While one mark will be deducted for the wrong answer. Students will get the question paper in the language chosen from 13 languages. In addition to English and Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and Punjabi languages.
Admission to 1 lakh medical seats in the country will be based on the exam
Through the NEET-UG exam, students will be able to get admission to 1 lakh MBBS seats, 27618 BDS seats and 52720 AYUSH seats. Through the NEET-UG exam, students will be able to get admission to 612 medical colleges and 315 dental colleges across the country. Apart from this, admission to 1899 AIIMS seats and 249 JIPMER institute seats will also be available. Thus, since admission is made on the basis of this exam to medical and dental seats across the country, there is a huge rush of students.
