The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board has completed the preparations for the written exam for 858 posts of PSI cadre. This important exam is going to be held tomorrow i.e. on April 19, 2026 in four major cities of the state. Strict arrangements have been made by the administration and the police department to ensure that the exam is conducted in a transparent and fair manner.

According to the announcement of the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board, the physical test for a total of 855 posts of P.S.E. Cadre (Unarmed P.S.E., Armed P.S.E. (Platoon Commander) and Jailer Group-2) was conducted from 21.01.2026 to 09.02.2026.
P.S.E. About 2,47,000 candidates participated in the cadre physical test. Out of which, a total of 1,10,680 candidates have passed. The written examination will be held on 19.04.2026 in a total of 370 schools in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot. The call letters for which were downloaded from 13.04.2026 and more than one lakh candidates have downloaded their call letters.
To ensure that this examination is conducted transparently without any irregularities, about 4000 police officers/employees and about 8000 education department officers/employees have been assigned examination-related work. An officer of PI/PSI level has been appointed as the representative of the recruitment board at each examination center. Various steps have been taken by the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board to prevent irregularities in the written examination.
The biometric/photograph of the candidates obtained during the physical test will be verified twice before the written examination and facial recognition technology will be used. All the vehicles used for the examination will be tracked through GPS. Monitoring will be done from the Police Recruitment Board Central Control Room. Karai and the entire examination will be conducted under CCTV monitoring. Legal action will be taken against those who cheat in the examination.
This written examination at Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot will be held under the chairmanship of senior police officers of IGP/DIGP level under the supervision of the respective Police Commissioners. All the preparations for this written examination to be held on 19.04.2026 have been completed by the Recruitment Board to ensure that it is conducted without any kind of cheating.
