Educational qualification for Sub-Inspector (SI) in CBI is graduation degree from a recognized university or equivalent in any discipline. Pay Scale : 44900 to 142400 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600 and Allowance as per 7th Pay Commission

Age Limit : Between 20 to 30 years

Maximum Age Relaxation: OBC-3 years, SC/ST-5 years, PwD + Gen- 10 years, PwD + OBC-13 years, PwD + SC/ST- 15 years

Educational Qualification : Graduation in any discipline

Selection Process :SSC CGL 2021-22

Physical Criteria : Height – 165 cm for male, 150 cm for female

Chest – 76 cm for men, no rule for women

Vision- 6/6 in one eye, and 6/9 in the other eye

Posting : Mostly CBI HQ Delhi or any metro city. Like Delhi, Mumbai or Kolkata

Training : Total 59 weeks of training out of which 42 weeks of training is conducted at CBI Academy, Ghaziabad.

CBI Officer Recruitment through UPSC Civil Services Examination (IPS).

Recruitment of CBI Officer (Group A) is done through UPSC Civil Services Examination. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recruits suitable candidates in Civil Services of India including IAS, IPS, IFS and other allied services. UPSC Civil Services Exam consists of three phases namely UPSC Prelims, UPSC Mains and UPSC Interview.
