Why This GPSC Recruitment 2026 is Different

- For most Class-1 & Class-2 posts: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (any discipline).
- For technical posts (Assistant Director, etc.): Relevant degree (e.g., B.Tech, LLB, B.Com).
- Age Limit (as of 15th May 2026)
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum (General): 35 years
- Maximum (OBC/ST/SC/EWS): 40 years
- Maximum (Gujarat Govt Servant): 42 years
- Age relaxation for PwD – 10 years extra.
- Nationality & Domicile
- Indian citizen.
- For unreserved posts – Gujarat domicile required (Domicile certificate or 15 years schooling in Gujarat).
- For reserved posts – Caste certificate issued by Gujarat competent authority.

Stage 2 – Mains Exam (Descriptive)

- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for General, 35% for reserved.
Stage 3 – Interview / Personality Test
- Marks: 200

Final merit = Mains (800) + Interview (200) = 1000 marks.
