Project JRF/Project Assistant level II (PA-II): 5

Qualifications:

For PA-II: M. Sc. in chemistry/biochemistry (Four); biotechnology (one) with minimum 55% marks. For Project JRF, NET-LS/GATE is required. Those who appeared in the final examination and expecting result by 5th July, 2016 with above mentioned marks can also appear for the interview.

Fellowship (consolidated): For PA-II : Rs.12000/- pm and Rs.14000/- pm for NET-LS/GATE qualified candidates (subject to revision by CSIR).
Age: Maximum 28 years for PA-II. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rule.

General Conditions:-

Job description :

For PA-II :
Chemist: Development and application of molecular sensors for biologically important compounds (one post);
Biochemist/chemist: Fractionation of seaweed extracts to identify and isolate bioactive compounds important for plant and animal nutrition. The candidate should be well versed with analytical techniques like HPLC, GCMS, LCMS and is expected to analyse for metabolites in samples (two posts).

Chemist: Development of catalyst for Aza Henry reaction of ketimines with nitro alkanes (one post)
Biotechnologist: Work related to potassium solubilization through microbes (one post).

Duration of project: Appointment for all posts will be up to 31st March, 2017. Further extension/reappointment will depend on availability of fund and/or project duration.

Application and interview

All Interested candidates are requested to appear before the Selection Committee for interview on 19th July, 2016 at 10.00 am in this Institute. You are requested to bring with you an application on plain paper giving full particulars such as (1) Full name and postal address with e-mail and Ph. No., (2) Date of birth and (3) Educational qualifications and experience (if any) together with the Xerox copies of certificates/testimonials. If necessary, a printed copy of an application type document will also be supplied to you to fill up for certain information at the time of interview. You are also requested to bring with you the following documents:

1. Original Certificates(s), Marksheet(s) (Degree/Diploma, etc.) of the educational qualifications, certificate in support of the date of birth etc. mentioned by you in your application. This is required for verification.

2. Original Experience Certificates, Testimonials etc.

3. In case you are employed in a Government/Semi-Government or Autonomous Organization, you should bring with you a No Objection Certificate from your present employer. Otherwise, you will have to give a declaration that at present you are un-employed.
