NEET Decision by Supreme Court for GUJCET 5th May 2016. NEET judgment leaves GujCET aspirants in knots. Gujarat will follow the apex court’s judgement and use merit scores in the common entrance exam – the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) – for admissions to medical and dental courses.

However, there was ambiguity over the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GujCET), which is scheduled for May 10, with some indication that the local test may be held for admissions to ayurvedic, homeopathy and other paramedical courses.

Minister Nitin Patel said, “We have not yet decided on the Gujarat Common Entrance Test Examination scheduled for May 10. There are two opinions -the first is to continue with the examination for paramedical courses including physiotherapy , homeopathy , ayurveda, bachelor of nursing, among others. The other opinion to move ahead with a common merit list prepared from the NEET.”

Today Supreme Court of India decided to hear the plea about NEET UG on 5th may 2016. after hearing on 3rd May 2016. In the last hearing it asked to respond MCI / Minister of Health minister about this matter to state governments.
